Our Downtown Area:

This charming Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) is full of rich history, artistic energy, and a relaxed coastal vibe. The downtown area is quite walkable, with shops, restaurants, galleries, and the main plaza all within a relatively compact area. Grab a coffee from Café Felix or Taller 17 and take your time exploring. 

Todos Santos is known for its thriving artist community. Wander through the town’s many art galleries featuring local and international artists, from contemporary painting to traditional Mexican folk art. Murals and public art are scattered throughout town — perfect for photo stops.

There is no shortage of restaurants in Todos Santos whether you’re interested street tacos or more elevated farm-to-table experiences there is something for everyone. Don’t forget to stop by Paloma’s Heladería or one of the many ice cream shops around each corner.

Stroll through local markets and artesian shops offering handmade textiles, jewelry, pottery, local art, and more. 

Ocean Activities

Whale Watching (seasonal)

Every winter, the coastal waters of Baja California Sur become the stage for one of nature’s most extraordinary events: the annual gray and humpback whale migration. From December through April, thousands of gray whales travel from the Arctic to breed, give birth, and nurse their calves in the shallow bays of Baja. In addition, hundreds of whale sharks find their way to La Paz. Tours can be scheduled swim with these giant beautiful creatures.

    Fishing Expeditions

    Whether you’re a pro or a first-time fisher, the waters off Baja California Sur offer some of the most exciting and productive fishing grounds in the world. 

    From the Pacific coast near Todos Santos to the Sea of Cortez near La Paz and beyond, there’s always something biting — and an adventure waiting.

    Dorado (Mahi-Mahi) – Fast, vibrant, and a favorite for both sport and table.

    Yellowfin Tuna – A prized catch, often weighing over 100 lbs during peak season.

    Marlin (striped, blue, or black) if you are up to a challenge, availability depending on the season.

    Swimming & Surfing

    📍 Cerritos Beach: Located 15 minutes south of Todos Santos, Cerritos is a sandy-bottom beach break with consistent waves. It’s also one of the safest beaches for swimming in the region.

    If you want to learn how to surf or catch some waves. Mario and his team are experienced, friendly, and patient — perfect for beginners or intermediate surfers.

    Sea Lions

    Adventure to the island of Espíritu Santo  a UNESCO-protected marine reserve and visit the California Sea Lions. During most of the year (August through May), you can swim alongside these curious, intelligent creatures. Knowledgeable local guides ensure both safety and a deep appreciation for the delicate ecosystem. They’ll share facts about sea lions’ behavior, the island’s history, and the other species you might see!

        Turtle Releases

        Experience one of nature’s most magical moments as baby sea turtles make their way from their sandy nests to the ocean. From November to March, local turtle conservation groups invite visitors to help guide and release these tiny hatchlings on their journey. This hands-on, heartwarming activity is perfect for all ages and a wonderful way to connect with the wildlife of Baja. Best of all, it takes place just at the end of the Serendipity property—only a short five-minute walk away.

        Hiking

        Punta Lobos is a must-do coastal hike. Starting from the fishermen’s beach at Punta Lobos, this trail winds up rugged cliffs with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean.

        • Spot whales in season and sea lions, explore the ruins of an old sugar mill, great for sunrise or sunset hikes

        • Moderate difficulty. Bring water, a hat, and good walking shoes.
